Three Benefits of Getting Your Company Involved in a Charity

Aside from the warm, fuzzy feeling that will shortly follow after donating your time, money, or items to a charity in need, there are some other business benefits.

When Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic asked Lowcountry Orphan Relief how they could help during the month of December, the results were phenomenal. CBC Atlantic filled two children’s stockings with requested items such as shoes, pants and gifts cards.

After a mutually great experience, CBC Atlantic has learned three benefits of getting involved in a charity that every company should know about:

1.     Enhances office conversation – When co-workers talk about something other than business they learn new things about each other. Immersing your workplace in a charity is also bound to bring out fun, office buzz and create conversations with people you typically wouldn’t encounter.

2.     Helping the community in which you work – Pairing up with a local charity relative to your business will in turn help you. After all what business doesn’t want their hometown to thrive?!

3.     Networking - Companies who are involved with charities by default get networking advantages. Companies meet other companies that are involved with the same charity as well as make connections with the employees of the charity.

Now go get involved!
