Autumn

Autumn Marie Corley moved to the Charleston, South Carolina area in 2012 in pursuit of fulfilling her dream to help others that are less fortunate. She was born and raised as an only child near the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina, in a small town named Boone.

Autumn’s journey through life was never an easy one. She grew up in a broken home around verbal and violent physical abuse. Struggling to find her own way through the hardships and depression of life, she managed to do so in a positive way. She learned that the best way to create a better future is to prove that there are still exceptional people left in the world.

Her desire to help others started out as a Volunteer Fire Fighter at the Valmead Fire Department in Lenoir, North Carolina. There, she learned the value of team work and what it takes to help others in need. She watched many tragedies over the years but loved doing everything in her power to help children and their families. She believes that a person’s most useful asset is not only a head full of knowledge, but a heart full of love, an ear ready to listen and a hand willing to help others.

When people experience trauma or severe life stressors, it is not uncommon for their own life to be pulled apart at the seams. Autumn’s passion is to help bring a sense of healing, comfort and understanding to the children in the Lowcountry of Charleston, South Carolina. To provide support services and aid to meet the needs of any and all children identified as at-risk or suffering from abandonment, abuse and/or neglect. Autumn understands her contribution enables the Lowcountry Orphan Relief to change many lives of children, providing them with the immediate resources they need now, today, to give them hope for the future, to encourage them to be more than they think they can be, and to support their positive growth, decisions, and relationships.
