The Lynn Young Scholarship was established in 2015 to help offset the cost of tuition for individuals who have been in the foster care system.

 

Scholarship Award: $2,500

Requirements:

Application Deadline: August 1st, 2024

• Rewritten Requirements

• Copy of birth certificate

• Personal statement explaining why you deserve this award

• Lived in foster care

• High school graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.5

• Three letters of reference (e.g., from a teacher, guidance counselor, or religious leader)

• Completion of 5 volunteer hours with Lowcountry Orphan Relief

• Proof of acceptance to a chosen school​
