BEACH DAY- August 5, 2023

LOR hosts  “Beach Day” each summer at Folly Beach for children in foster care & group homes. From boogie boarding to sandcastle competitions, it’s an event you don’t want to miss out on! Please note that all volunteers for this event must be 21 years of age or older and have a cleared SLED Criminal Record Check, prior to the day of the event to participate. Volunteers may not bring their own children to this event. If you are a foster parent interested in bringing your child to Beach Day, please email Christina@LORkids.org

Beach Day 2022 was supported by Brianne Marie Photography Bruce Watson, First Baptist Church of Charleston, Folly Beach Chair Company, Folly Beach Public Safety, Isla Surf School, Kona Ice, Mahle Behr, Mosquito Squad of the Lowcountry Meagan Gentry, and Snyder’s Distribution Center (North Charleston, SC).

MAKE A CHILD HAPPY DAY-November 5, 2022 (Volunteer slots are full at this time)

Foster families & group homes will come together for a fun, fall carnival with bouncy houses, rides, games, carnival food, face painting, a DJ and more! If you are a foster parent interested in bringing your child to Make A Child Happy Day, please email Christina@LORkids.org
