LOR is very excited to announce the chosen 2019 applicant is : Kierra Ancrum!!
Congratulations Kierra! Kierra has been accepted with a 3.8 GPA into USC’s Darla Moore School of Business and she will be studying accounting. Based on her application her story is profound and we are delighted to support her as she continues her education.
“Growing up Keirra had to spend her days with her aunt and work in a job canning pickles. She has done that since she was 10 years old. Her mother could not fully support her due to family issues and financial hardship. Kierra saw how important it was to make something of your self so she studied hard and got accepted into the Darla Moore School of Business in Columbia, S.C. Her grade point ratio in high school was never below a B average.
She began as a Freshman at USC this September and has received other grants but needs this scholarship to help with books, room and other items for her laboratories. I am thrilled for us to have chosen Keirra for the Lynn Young Scholarship grant of $2,500.00. ” – Lynn Young, Founder of Lowcountry Orphan Relief
