“I volunteer because I know that my efforts are directly supporting children in my local community,” said Jenny Smith, volunteer from East Cooper Baptist Church.
Today, we want to celebrate you. Yes, you!
If you feel like you haven’t made a difference, think again. The fact that you are reading this right now shows that you are invested in something bigger than yourself. Haven’t consider yourself a volunteer? Well think again. Our volunteers are entrepreneurs, single moms, students, business men, teenagers, and grandmothers, just like you.
Still not convinced? One “share” on Facebook, one conversation with a friend over lunch, one hour of time, and even one article of clothing donated to our organization has already made a major impact on the community that you live in. If you have taken any one of these initiatives, we want to recognize you and thank you.
“We truly wouldn’t be able to survive without the support of our volunteers,” David, our Distribution Center Manager shares.
If we take YOU out of the picture, WE don’t exist!
Without your helping hand, your caring heart, your financial support, and your voice we could never support as many children as we have. Our volunteers (that’s you!) have continually been the sustenance behind our success in providing clothing and necessities to over 20,000 children in the Lowcountry since 2006.
If you want to join a community of individuals making an impact, we invite you to get involved today!
The opportunities are endless:
- Sign up to volunteer with us on a Saturday (or any day!)
- Stop by to fill orders on your lunch break
- Participate in our Children’s Events
- Teach a life skills class this summer at Camp Foster
- Speak out as an Ambassador in your community
- Encourage your co-workers to start a clothing drive
- Collect change with your family to be used to purchase items for children
